This beautiful glass sculpture was created by layers upon layers of brilliant bright colored dichroic glass melted into a solid 3/4″ thick, hand polished panel of glass. This Beautiful glass sculpture was created by fusing several hot-glass elements together to form a solid glass diameter over 1″ thick, shown depth and vibrant color resembling a beautiful coral reef! Las Vegas Hot Glass Hot Summer

Hello friends, yes its been a few weeks since my last blog, if I must confess! Las Vegas hotels are still popping up and we are in the middle of blowing a very large glass sculpture for the new Cosmopolitan Hotel. At the same time we are working on two 90′ x 19′ glass fusion and metal sculptures for McCarran International Airport here in Las Vegas. So excited to have the opportunity to show our large scale glass artwork in our city of Las Vegas for tourist and locals to see! Also coming soon we are working with La Reve at the Wynn Hotel on developing a line of artwork for their show!! Via Las Vegas!!!! You would be surprised to learn that there is a grip of artwork to see in our city. Got to Love Vegas Baby!!

Friday May 7th First Friday!!

Hi Friends!!! This coming Friday night, May 7th, we will be down at the Las Vegas Arts District at Boulder Plaza and Main Street for First Friday. We will be in a double wide tent showing our latest sculptures, chandeliers and bowls. Come by and visit us in the evening from 6-10 Enjoy the music, the street scene and all the festivities planed by our city. Their will be many of Las Vegas artist works on display!!! Las Vegas glass fusion & glass blowing

We have had a lot of questions about the different glass techniques we in use in our glass sculptures and glass wall panels as seen in Las Vegas Hotels. We have been working with glass as an art form for 18 years as a team (Larry and Barbara) in Las Vegas and have invested in both a hot-shop for glass blowing and a glass fusion studio with eight large kilns. Over the years we have developed unique techniques in blending hot glass and fusion to create our works. When creating a sculpture we usually start by making several blown glass objects, we then melt these objects in kilns (glass fusion) to create the technique we have termed “hot-fusion”. Most of our sculptures and glass panels are a combination of several hot glass techniques and multi-firings. We Artists in Las Vegas love the heat!! Next time in Las Vegas, look us up!!

This is my favorite time of year! the studio is flooded with light, the hot-shop is filled with the sound of roaring heat and the music is thumping load! Such is the life of a glass artist! Larry is busy creating a collection of hot-glass recognition awards (sculptures) for a client in acknowledgment of their LEED customers, (thank you gifts are always fun to work on) and Me, I am producing large glass bowls for an up coming art show. Meanwhile, we are designing several large scale project for: a Las Vegas nightclub, a restaurant and the soon to be built, City Hall…Boy I do love my job!!!!!

Stupak Community Center

We just completed the installation for Stupak Community Center in Las Vegas. This is a center which services a largely Hispanic community, all ages, from pre-school on up. We wanted to create an art installation that would identify with those visiting and using the facility by uplifting and inspiring and empowering through the use of words, while working with the architecture of the building and natural light. This commission was sponsored by the City Of Las Vegas Arts Commission.
